International MBA

University of Waikato - Class of 2002

The University of Waikato Management School has developed its MBA programme over the last ten years and comprises both a part time Executive MBA and full time International MBA.

New Zealand may be more than three thousand kilometres away from the next nearest country, but being isolated does not mean insular. The Management School reflects the New Zealand reputation for innovation and thinking differently and has pioneered a number of new teaching styles to help students gain the most from their MBA experience.

The most famous of these is the Southfresh Project, a joint venture between the Management School and e-Commerce leader Southfresh Ltd. The Waikato Southfresh Innovation Company serves as an incubator for student run start-ups. Another well known initiative was the WMS led study into the management lessons that could be learned from examinations of the worlds leading sporting teams.
